"For some people, the most important holiday is Christmas or Hannukkah. Others really like Labor Day. Or Memorial Day. For the indie rock band Love Riot, it’s a no-brainer; Valentine’s Day has always been the important holiday because of what the holiday represents, the way it encourages us to share the love with those we love. Heart-shaped boxes full of chocolate, flowers, candles, pink and red and love songs...definitely love songs. Fans know the band has a bunch of great ones, some of which made it onto TV and into movies back in the nineties, before Love Riot took a 25-year break to raise families. Back at it after that long hiatus, Love Riot has a Valentine Celebration planned with a very special afternoon performance in the barn. After their sold-out reunion show at the Creative Alliance in November, the band will present a more intimate, scaled-down performance, with Young Ron bringing his pink sparkle stand-up drum kit and everyone sharing backstories to some of the band’s best love songs. We will have roses and chocolates for guests, and Willem Elsevier will play some sweet melodies on his violin, serenading friends for a few minutes before the show. Get to the farm early so you can enjoy Sweetheart Sip and Shop in the Barn Market.

The Barn Market will be open prior to the show for Sip and Shop Sweetheart Shopping. Meander that shop while sipping champagne and allow your loved one to pick out their favorite gifts.

Tables and chairs provided. Please consider this a pre-dinner date. We will have beer and wine available from Boordy Vineyards and Diamondback Brewing and light snacks including a selection of cheeses and charcuterie. We suggest making dinner reservations at nearby favorites. The Milton Inn, The Manor Tavern, or The Oregon Grille .

The band encourages attendees to bring donations for House Of Ruth. Clean new or gently used women’s clothing and outerwear, free of stains, dirt or defects, will be collected. In return, donors can pick a free Heaven Can Wait CD or button from the merch table."
