Uses: A lovely sweet and refreshing toner that is anti microbial, anti-oxidant, astringent, and cooling making it helpful for blemish prone skin. Lemon Thyme minimizes the appearance of pores as it hydrates and tones. As all Hydrosols, it restores skin’s natural pH.

Directions: Hold bottle a foot away from face and spray generously for full coverage around face and neck. For best results, apply right after shaving or washing, before and after moisturizing; reapply 2-3 times daily for best results. You can diffuse Lemon Thyme for its fresh scent to brighten a room, and Use as a water substitute to activate clay masks.

Lemon Thyme (Thymus citriodorus) is a sweet, lemony cousin of the more common culinary Thyme. The prominent voliatile compounds, geraniol is what is is found in the profile of popular Rose Geranium.
Hydrosols are pure floral waters from steam distilled flowering herbs; transforming the botanical resilience of plants into liquid form. The final product is lightly saturated with beneficial plant compounds and a naturally light fragrance. The result is a lightly fragrant distillate with a slight nuttiness, which carries the sensory and chemical properties of the plant distilled. Hydrosols are slightly acidic, with a Ph. that ranges from 4.8-5.9, depending on your botanical material. The final product is a pure, plant derived distillate, which has light fragrance and chemical activity with a wide range of traditional uses. We like to use our hydrosols as a gentle skin toner to cleanse and help balance skin pH.

We distill on traditional, hand forged, Copper alembic stills. Copper is an important part of this process. It is a reactive metal with a negative ionic charge. This charge reacts against many, naturally occurring, sulfide forming yeasts, pulling them from distillate water. This lends to a sweeter, fresher smelling hydrosol, that can be enjoyed right from the still.
