Earth Day is one of our favorite days of the year! We get to celebrate our planet and honor all that it gives us, in our life and our business. We get to teach eager young minds, and watch their enthusiasm as they learn about the importance of the earth and what it grows. Each year we have had a 4 part program with small groups that go from activity to activity. The program ends with a tractor ride around the farm.

1) Soil, Seeds, and Seedlings with Farmer Peter: The program starts as we head to the greenhouse with Peter to learn about how the life of our plants begin on the farm. He will talk to them about soil and seeds and show them how to plant a seedling and care for it. They will each plant their own small plant that they can take home and care for.

2) Busy bees! Our bee keeper will teach the children how bees work and how we collect our honey. (We will NOT be near active bees)

3) Next stop is a scavenger hunt! We invite the parents to join in for this fun and interactive nature Earth Day Scavenger Hunt! Kids will be given a list of natural items to keep an eye out for as we follow a path through the blooming fields. 

4) The Program ends with a tractor ride with Mr. Mark. Mark will take the kids and their parents/chaperone on a tractor wagon ride around the farm. An ALL time favorite!

This day is perfect for Kids from 3-9.

TIME: 10:30am-12:30pm
