An afternoon in the country. A walk in the garden. A seated lunch in the stone barn by renowned chef Kevin Miller of Copper Kitchen. On Mother’s Day, celebrate the woman who means so much to you, and has done so much for your family. Between 10:00 and 1:30 we will open the grounds of the farm and serve an elegant six-course brunch. Brunch will be served family style, so everyone gets to enjoy the full selection of pastries, tea sandwiches, deviled eggs, warm bites, and dessert. Make your reservations to dine at the time of your choice, and stroll the grounds afterwards.
We have chosen to Partner with Fair Farms Maryland on this event. Fair Farms Maryland is a non profit who seeks to create awareness about the relationship between agriculture, water, food and public health; galvanize Marylanders to reduce agricultural pollution; and support farmers, businesses and public policies that promote healthy, sustainable agricultural practices. Our downstairs Barn Market will be open all day Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm, offering organic bath, beauty and wellness products made at Star Bright or in collaboration with local makers as well as garden accessories and handcrafted gifts. A full array of products is also available on-line: if you wish, you can order any of our goods ahead of time to be wrapped and ready at the table on Mother’s Day.
